Dr. DeGiovanni treats all adult dermatological conditions. Her main areas of clinical interest are skin lesions including full body skin checks, mole check and mole removal, skin tags, sun damage management, skin cancer treatment, and skin surgery. As an experienced dermatologic skin surgeon she can treat most skin lesions from benign moles and skin tags to skin cancer requiring skin flaps and graft repairs. She is also experienced at managing skin rashes including acne, eczema, psoriasis and autoimmune skin conditions (Blistering conditions eg. Bullous Pemphigoid and Lupus).
She has developed an interest in menopause and the skin including dry skin, sensitive skin, worsening of exisiting skin conditions and genital and vulval skin problems having written 4 review articles on the topic. She is frequently invited to speak and lecture to health professionals on the subject and has participated in IG live, podcasts and writing blogs to raise awareness of the impact of the menopause on the skin and common skin conditions.
She attended the internationally renowned, Hugh Greenways Superficial Anatomy and Cutaneous Surgery course at the SCRIPPS research Institute, University of California San Diego in 2013 to develop her surgical skills further and now regularly performs skin cancer surgery including flap and graft repairs.
